On February 24, 2022, Putin sent Russian troops to invade Ukraine, the Ukrainians bravely resisted, and lost many battles, lost many lands to Russia. In April 2023, Ukraine lost Bakhmut to Russia.
No problem.
In war, win or lose is normal.
The most important thing is that the final battle must be won with victory, making the Russian army 1000 years later not dare to invade Ukraine for the second time.
If you lose many battles, you will learn a lot of experience, from which you will get better at fighting.
The most important thing is “Victory is not arrogant, defeat is not discouraged” – that is the most important lesson in all of the wars in 4000 years history of Vietnam.
In 1946, the Vietnam and French wars broke out, at first, the Vietnamese army lost many battles. But after each loss, the Vietnamese learned a lot of experience, and fighting gradually getting better. In the end, the Vietnamese defeated the French in the final, decisive battle of Dien Bien Phu in year 1954.
During the war with the Americans, from 1965 when the US first troops landed at the port of Da Nang in 1965 to 1973, when the last Americans withdrew from Vietnam, at first, the Vietnamese also lost so many battles.
But in the end, the Americans had to withdraw their troops from Vietnam in 1972, and panicky evacuated from Vietnam in 1975 .
Just before the complete withdrawal of troops, before signing the Paris Agreement in 1973, the Americans fought the last 2 bombing campaigns on Hanoi, called Operation Linerbacker 1, and Linerbacker 2, at the end of 1972. Those 2 bombing battles were the worst bomb in the entire Vietnam war.
The Americans thought that Vietnam would lose, and had to sign the Paris Agreement under the conditions set by the US.
But no, the Americans lost in these two bombing campaigns, because Vietnamese missiles shot down 15 B52 strategic bombers in just 12 days and nights.
In fact, at that time, Russia’s SAM2 missile helped Vietnam not be able to shoot down the US B52 aircraft. But Vietnam has improved rocket launchers to be stronger, and especially, Vietnam has arranged 3, 4, 5 missiles from 3, 4, 5 different directions, several hundred of kilometers apart, firing at the same B52 aircraft. So, if this missile misses, another missile will hit, and the US aircraft cannot detect where the Vietnamese missile is coming from, so the Americans cannot destroy the missile launch stations of Vietnam.
The last battle in 1972, known by the Vietnamese as “Dien Bien Phu in the air”, forced the Americans to sign the Paris Agreement under the conditions set by Vietnam, not the terms which was set forth by the United States.
Nearly 800 years ago, in 1257, the Yuan-Mongolian army invaded Vietnam for the first time. In the first 15 days, Vietnam lost 17 consecutive battles to the Nguyen-Mongol army. But then, in the final battle at Dong Bo Dau, Vietnam defeated the Nguyen-Mongolian army brilliantly, the Nguyen-Mongol army had to flee.
In 1281, and in 1284, the Nguyen-Mongolian army invaded Vietnam for the second and third time. In the first battles, the Vietnamese army also lost to the Nguyen. But the last battles, Vietnam won, the Nguyen army had to flee.
So, Ukrainians, President Zelensky, don’t worry, don’t be discouraged, if you lose many battles.
And now, November 2022, Ukrainian army has gained back many territories from Russia, it proved that Ukrainian people has been increasing their capacity of fighting, although is quite slowly.
Keep your spirits up, and learn from your failures.
Ho Chi Minh of Vietnam said: “Failure is the mother of success”.
But Ukrainian should remember that “don’t mess with the horse, don’t touch horse’s penis”.
Crimea peninsula is Ukrainian territory, is in Eastern Europe, on the northern coast of the Black Sea. It has a population of 2.4 million, made up mostly of ethnic Russians, with significant Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar minorities, was seized by Russia in 2014. And last month, bridge in Crimea was blew up, and Russia revenged by shooting missiles into Ukrainian cities, destroyed many buildings and facilities.
So Ukraine does not need to fight inside Russian territory, “don’t mess with the horse, don’t touch horse’s penis”, because Russia may will be provoked to attack by nuclear weapon.
Ukraine just fight Russian soldiers inside Ukraine territory is enough to defeat Russian.
Make Russian soldiers inside Ukraine territory a hostage of Ukraine.
In Vietnam war, Khe Sanh was most famous battle during Vietnam war, but North Vietnam army did not defeat completely US army in Khe Sanh, just fight to make US army to abandon this important base only.
If Vietnam defeat US army completely like Dien Bien Phu in 1954, then US may be provoked to launch atomic bomb into North Vietnam.
Now this lesson of Vietnam war should be learned by Ukraine.
America, UK, France, Germany,,,, please help Ukrainians more, stronger, faster, with more stronger condemn to Russia if Putin dare to use nuclear weapon to Ukraine.
President Biden now must be as strong as president Kennedy having face off Khrushchev in Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, to ward off Putin’s ambition of using nuclear weapon to destroy Ukraine.
But senile President Biden is too weak president, Ukraine should not put much hope on him.
Ukrainians should not rely too much on Western and American weapons, but rather rely on their own strength, on their intelligence, courage, bravery, and dare to fight, and know how to fight, as General Vo Nguyen Giap commented on the Vietnamese army: daring to fight, and knowing how to fight.
Weapons are important, but not the most important. The soldier, and the commander on the battlefield is the most important. A modern weapon that falls into the hands of a coward, a fool, then that weapon is just something thrown away, or falls into the hands of the enemy, the enemy will use that weapon.
The Vietnamese are always being invaded, so although they may appear to support the Russian army on the surface, in their deep hearts, the Vietnamese always hate the invaders and support the invaded.
